Nothing much, what’s up with you?
Well, International games really do take the piss out of us don’t they?
Over the past thirteen days Real Madrid has had only seven first team players available for training. These seven have been training thirteen days in a row with Castilla. And the only difference today was that Jose Mourinho returned to continue supervising the sessions after attending UEFA’s Elite Club Coaches’ Forum. The session lasted for an hour and thirty minutes, during which ball work took centre stage. The only incident involving any of the players was that of Marcelo leaving the session because of gastroenteritis as well as a slight pain on his left ankle.
Did you know that Marco Borriello had an option to join Real Madrid?
Boriello joined Roma from AC Milan on transfer deadline day after rejecting a loan move to Juventus in favor of a permanent deal, and agent Tiberio Cavalleri has revealed Real Madrid were interested in striking a deal until Karim Benzema’s move to MARSEILLE fell through. He said:
…the big hit came from Real Madrid. But Karim Benzema did not leave for Marseille…
Borriello, 28, opted to join Roma after being seduced by a text from Italian midfielder Daniele De Rossi and a heart to heart with club president Rosella Sensi.
Talking Benz, the Frenchman has been ruled out of his country’s Euro 2012 qualifier against Belarus tonight with an ankle injury. The striker has been troubled by his right ankle for several days and although tests today showed a slight improvement, it was deemed to be too much of a risk for him to play. He will continue to receive treatment with the French Football Federation (FFF) hopeful he may be fit for the game with Bosnia-Herzegovina on Tuesday.
The fixtures tonight for Madridistas include: Germany against Belgium, Spain at Liechtenstein, France (sans Benzema and Lass) against Belarus, Portugal (sans CR7 and Pepe) against Cyprus. Higuain doesn’t play until Tuesday I presume.
Para Siempre Blanco!
